FINANCIAL AID

To receive student aid, a student must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) at www.studentaid.gov. This must be done every year.

**Before completing the FAFSA, create an account. If you are a dependent student, your parent will need to create a separate FSA ID.

Entrance Counseling: The Federal Government requires you to complete entrance counseling to ensure that you understand the responsibilities and obligations you are assuming.

Master Promissory Note: The Master Promissory Note (MPN) is a legal document in which you promise to repay your loan(s) and any accrued interest and fees to the U.S. Department of Education.

Parent Plus Master Promissory Note: The Master Promissory Note (MPN) is for the parent of a dependent student and is a legal document in which you promise to repay your loan(s) and any accrued interest and fees to the U.S. Department of Education.

Professional Judgement and Dependency Status Policy: The Higher Education Act (HEA) allows the Financial Aid Administrator /Tuition Officer(FAA) to make professional judgment decisions for special or unusual family or student circumstances. These circumstances must be documented.
