Located at 10550 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge, LA, the Louisiana Culinary Institute is a state-of-the-art, approximately 40,000 square foot facility, which consists of up-to-date classrooms, including three (3) demonstration labs, three (3) general education classrooms, a bakery demonstration lab and two (2) baking labs; a full service restaurant kitchen; two (2) project kitchens; a restaurant dining room; an Amphitheater with a residential kitchen; and a media center.
The Louisiana Culinary Institute’s purpose is to educate its students to become highly trained professionals in food service operations. We believe that in order to deliver on that mission our facilities should reflect those commercial kitchens in which our students will eventually work. So we built several commercial kitchens inside our facility in which we train all our students.
LCI strikes to provide its students with the appropriate knowledge and skills in professional cooking techniques, sanitation, nutrition and day-to-day business operations to successfully operate and manage a food service facility. Facilities likes our tiered lecture hall and demo kitchen allow our faculty to deliver on that promise.
